lol I’m beyond the point of that being a possibility now :/

Why am I on CC? Because I accidentally came across a website which was full of overachieving students discussing how to get into top colleges. This was interesting.
Why am I on CC right now? Because most the other websites are blocked at my school (yeah, I’m at school, meant to be doing homework while waiting to be picked up).

It used to be because I was doing everything associated with applying to college by myself, and this website helped me immensely with getting everything together, letting me know when to send in which forms, how to fill out this FA form or that application question, etc. Also, because of the people on this website are fun/kind/helpful. Only this one other person at my school has any interest at all in applying to the more selective schools in the country (most are very satisfied attending colleges where the acceptance rate is over 80%), so I didn’t have that many people to complain to or to ask for advice.

Now, I come back because some people’s posts are hilarious and really make my day, and because I realized that it takes me less than two seconds to answer a question that might have been bothering someone for a long time. When I was a rising senior I always wished that those who have gone through the process could come back and answer my questions to save me from all the headaches of applying to college, so… I stayed on this website.

Because IBscrewed died, and this is the next best thing.

Overachievers need a place to congregate.

This site always popped up during my google searches when I was studying for the SAT IIs. Since I ended up here all the time anyway, I figured I might as well join.

Because it is jokes.

^see quote. Well…minus the 2nd sentence. Warts, how long have you been in the process of alternating that? :b

CC is blocked at my school for some reason :/

^:( For me it’s the only semi-interesting site that’s not blocked.

^^^It’s a gradual process :p

Apparently, I’m a masochist. Also, it’s nice to get a straight answer from people who have somewhat similar definitions of ‘good’, ‘bad’, ‘acceptable’, etc. I think we all get a little tired of having to thank people who praise our achievements when we don’t feel particularly, um, achieved but know that explaining our standards would be rude.

CC isn’t blocked at my school but whenever I go on I try to make sure no one sees me…

^^^then I guess you could say I am in the process of overcoming my addiction as well

Because I developed an addiction, and then CC became one of the regulars on the list of websites I frequent. So it’s like a habit. That I’m seriously attempting to curb.

@kenzie lol me too. I always hide it from the teachers and kids like I’m on some bad website. We must keep this website secret.

Lol…

You find CC in obscure Google searches–in the back pages of school directories*–in shady back alleys. It helps you achieve your dreams. And then–it claims you. CC addiction. You find yourself mysteriously, unavoidably compelled to pass on CC’s wisdom to the next generation.

Not sure what that was about, but I had to have three objects in the series.
*Holy #$%@, there are people younger than me. Help!!!

Because I want to spread the word about CCislulz so everyone will hopefully join.

I don’t really know what I’m so addicted to CC. In reality, it kind of depresses me. That’s because I’ll look at people’s chances threads and they take like 15 AP classes all throughout high school and mine only offers one. I feel so inadequate.

I joined last year because I wanted to know when I would be getting my AP scores. So I’m basically on here to discuss AP exams and wait for my scores. :)
