Why AU?

If finance is not a factor. Why should a student choose AU Honors over UNC (OOS) and UF Honors?

Thanks for your response. I was looking for other intangibles apart from the dollars.

One of my main factors aside from the level of academic of American University is the opportunity to have the Library of Congress at your very finger tips. There is no other school in the world with that opportunity.

I have to slightly disagree - UNC is a far better academic choice. But having D.C. at your fingertips can be incredibly beneficial and outweigh that depending on your career choice

I'm not sure how selective UNC's Honors program is, but I'm going to assume it's larger than AU's. I prefer smaller schools and I would imagine it would be easier to develop rapport with professors in a smaller program.

Why would I choose AU? Location!

Why would I choose UNC Chapel Hill? Only because of money. If I get in there, they will cover 100% of my need (which is or is almost 100% of the cost of attendance since my EFC is 0 and we are below the poverty line) and they will remove all the loans in my package. Getting into UNC Chapel Hill would be a free ride. But it would be a blessing and a curse, since I'd rather go to AU. Good thing I'm still a junior.
