<p>peabee, I think I was a sophomore in high school before I found out USC wasn't a "UC" - and I'm from California! It has "University" and "California" in it, after all. jkaufman is from Minnesota, so it seems to me it makes sense for him/her to look for University of Southern California in the University of California section - don't you think?</p>
<p>jkaufman, USC is a fantastic private university in California and is not affiliated with the public UC system. USC is far more likely to offer financial aid and scholarships to students from Minnesota, so be sure to check it out. Good luck!</p>

anywho its a good school....especially for business, film/theater, and engineer so definitely consider it if you like those subjects....
as for finaid... im not too sure SC is so nice. they may give a lot to freshmen but a couple of my friends stopped getting it after they were sophomores... but w/e if you can afford it... so yeah good luck on ur college stuff...it is only ur furture XD</p>
<p>I know very well that USC is not a UC, I just couldn't find thier forum for some reason. Just browsing, looking at stats, not saying I like it better/worse than the UC's.</p>
