That message saying they have finished reading applications has been up for a few days now, which means decisions are finalized. If they just posted the decisions online, it would make all of our lives so much easier, and we wouldn’t need to wait another week for them to mail envelopes with the decisions. I understand wanting to send some materials to those accepted, but why not just post everyone’s decision online and then send mail to those accepted? Nearly all other schools similar to Colgate post online.
Colgate likes to go by tradition, the good 'ol decision by snail mail. And because you might get a bonus handwritten note on your letter. Wouldn’t you want to see that when you first open the letter?
