Why did college board send me a second copy of my AP scores?

I got my first copy about 2 weeks ago, and then a second copy 1 week ago. I did call and request for them to send my scores to my college (about 2 weeks prior to receiving the second copy), so does college board also send the student a copy if they request by phone for a copy to be sent to a college? That seems completely unnecessary and a waste of paper, so I'm kind of concerned that college board f'ed up and somehow sent me the copy instead of my college. I emailed my school about it a few days ago and I'm still waiting for a response to see if they have it or not. Does anyone have experience with this?

ok its cool make sure u get a response doe

just call the AP services board. I’m sure everything is fine.

Yeah, I checked my school’s website yesterday and I got my credits so it turned out they did send a copy to my college. But I still think it’s silly for them to send us a copy as well. And it took like 3 weeks to get to my college…

It may have been a technical error or that they just wanted to be sure.

When they send scores to a college- I think they send one to you too to let you know they did. The colleges they sent it to are listed on the report.
