Why Did You Get a Joint JD/MBA?

Pretty self explanatory... Just curious why those of you who are pursuing (or have previously pursued) this program have chosen to do so?

And was your personal focus directed more strongly towards the business side, or the law side of the program? (i.e. what is the more 'primary' degree between the two for you to get, or if you had to just choose one of them, which would it be?)

Did you pursue this route thinking, "the more intellectual clout I have, the better"? Or did you have a very specific purpose in mind for these two degrees? If so, has they served this specific purpose well?

Just very curious about why someone would be compelled to tackle the both of them, and interested to know if the results were worth the effort...

IMO. very few people do a joint JD/MBA degree program these days. It does make a great backgound for those who want to go into Corporate Law.

I once thought about doing a joint JD/MBA program. But my disinterest in the current legal system led to a change of heart. I just want to finish my BA degree, work for a few years, and get my MBA at a top-tier business school.

I also considered doing a second BA as well. But decided that one experience at getting the first BA is enough to last a lifetime.

I love the expert reply of a person who has not even finished a BA. Clearly the question was directed towards him.
