Argh! So once again I just suffered from the blonde stereotype. I can't go into detail here cos I'm typing from a phone but seriously do people realize how many blondes are actually very intelligent. Chances are that your favorite pop star or your favorite female is blonde. Why do people give us such a bad rap. At this rate, I'd probably have to dye my hair to avoid these seemingly never ending disturbances

Where do you even go? At my school no one even cares what colour your hair is. And there are so many powerful and influential blondes so thats bull. Im blonde and i never get sterotyped. What stupid people.

It’s interesting to defy the stereotype though (that would maybe be one plus to being an intelligent blonde, that you would get to surprise some people). Also, there is the stereotypical image of the unintelligent blonde; then there are other blondes that don’t fit that image. It would think it would be easy to adjust in such a way to avoid most negative associations.

Looking people steady in the eye and speaking with clarity in a professionally manner usually indicates you are to be taken seriously.
Works for everyone.

no one at my school cares if ur blonde.

Probably because blonde hair is usually considered the most desirable, and people are just jealous so they stereotype you as stupid.

I don’t agree with the stereotype, but what I don’t understand is saying that “my favorite pop star” is most likely blond. I see what you mean, but I don’t often look to my favorite pop star for intellectual guidance. The best way to get rid of the stereotype’s association with you is to show off your intelligence by not letting it affect you.

It sucks to be stereotyped, doesn’t it?
I am Mexican, so people automatically think we’re all stupid, impudent, and more. We are also hated. Unfortunately, hate is part of life.

Never heard of this being a problem in my school.

Stop whining. The more you whine, the more of a “blonde” image you give people.

How blonde are you?

No. It wasn’t in school. It was in some jewellry store in the mall.
