I was accepted EA and I am very excited.
However, I am waiting on primarily reach schools in the RD round. I want to fall in love with Chapel Hill to lessen the blow in two weeks.
So, what do you love about Chapel Hill?
EVERYTHING. If you have UNC in your top 5 then I highly suggest you go. Great academics, plenty of resources, friendly atmosphere, best night life/greek life, beautiful campus and just plethora of other things. Tar Heel Basketball<3
I’m a prospective student who lives very close to Chapel Hill. There are so many good restaurants and shops on Franklin such as Top of the Hill, Sup Dogs, B SKI’s, Shrunken Head boutique, Carolina Brewery, etc. You’re also very close to big cities (Durham, Raleigh) while still feeling like you’re in the small quintessential college town that Chapel Hill is. There’s a very good music scene, lots of bands come by Cat’s Cradle and other venues. Nightlife is fun from what I hear and the Athletics are amazing (especially basketball as I’m sure you already know). The academics are very good at UNC: Kenan-Flagler business school is one of the best business schools in the nation. You can pretty much major in anything at Chapel Hill and get a good, useful degree that will get you far in life (with the exception of engineering, which UNC doesn’t offer except for biomed). Definitely come here if you are among the 29% accepted. Go Heels!
