For example, MIT offers both an BS and a BA in physics. Why does Princeton only offer the BA? Does this mean that it is worse than the BS? Why doesn’t Princeton (a school known for its physics) offer both BA and BS in physics?
I believe Princeton only offers a BS to students in engineering. I’m not positive, but I would guess that the BA speaks to the breadth of your education and doesn’t put such a premium on lab experience
Nobody pays attention to whether a degree is a BA or BS. Those who teach in universities often don’t even know if their department confers one vs the other. And the requirements for one vs the other differ widely by universities-so I’d not give this one second of consideration.
