I did the 2nd essay, Im applying to elliott ED1, believe it or not the "What motivates you" essay was a breeze for me.

My teacher saids its one of the best essays hes ever read, but for the "Why GW" essay I can't get a word down and I'm starting to uncharacteristically get worried now.

Should I make it straight forward, I don't see any room for creativity I figure I can just right about how GW can further my own education goals, and how I can contribute to George Washington?

Damnit, I saw a reply and thought i was getting some guidance I am making some progress though I think I got it, help is still appreciated though. There isnt an SAT II requirement but they look at it if you submit it

Hey I applied to GW Elliott ED1 already. The why GW essay wasnt hard because I know why I want to go there. Why do you want to go there? What was your first essay about? If you wrote about international affairs then you could incorporate that into your GW essay. I wrote my first essay on an experience that has been a huge part of my life and then focused on my interest in international affairs and middle eastern studies. Anyways, good luck with your application! Deadline is tomorrow!

i applied ed1 policomm and the 2nd essay was also much easier and (i'm told by the people who read it) turned out much better. my first essay was okay. to be honest, i was disappointed in gw for giving such a question. it sends a message of: its not about you, its about us. but, i do suspect that the 2nd essay carries more weight (as it should).

The "why GW" essay is not meant to be about GW, but about how you will use the education, environment and other resources provided by GW. As for SAT IIs, they are only required for certain programs at GW, such as the Honors program, and other "special programs."

Yeah my first essay was iffy my essay 2 was really, really good, today is a postal holiday, so I had to get everything in by thrusday,

on another note my senior fall grades come out in a week.. and they suck

My GPA was like 89 Fresh, 85 Soft, 91 Junior, and now its like an 86 with electives

Im applying to Elliott and I basically got an A in English and Gov, and Cs in AP Bio and Precalc.. AP BIO might even be a C-, im really ****ed, my SATs are above average, and my recs are good so will this negatively effect me a lot
