Hey, I've aplied RD to columbia college, and I sent them everything over three weeks ago. The problem according to my tracking page, they're still proccessing/haven't recieved my SSR and transcripts, even though I sent them along with my recs, which have been proccessed and acknowledged...I was slightly disconcerted by this, paranoid as I am about the college admissions process....this may sound stupid but they didn't lose my transcripts and SSR or something did they?

Plus they haven't recieved my SAT scores; when I log on to college board it says request still pending next to columbia, even though, again I send the scores a long time ago.....what does "request still pending" mean anyway?

I don't know about the College Board part -- but as for Columbia, be patient. I applied early and it took a realllllllly long time for them to list anything as having been received. I would call the College Board though about that pending.

henas, my D was also worried about the "request still pending" notice since she ordered her scores to be sent the day after Nov. SATS more than 3 weeks ago. She just checked again this morning to see they are now sent. Don't worry, CB probably takes some time to process, and are very aware of need to get those out in time.

The admissions office is working feverishly to process all the scores. They have thousands of applicants(and three times that many scores, at least) to deal with. There's no "automatic" system in place to transfer the scores into their own system from CollegeBoard's; a person has to manually enter the scores into Columbia's admission processing system. Therefore, so long as you've requested the scores be sent(non-rush) to Columbia, you're fine. I don't see Columbia penalizing someone for their or CollegeBoard's mistake. Don't sweat it; they'll get your scores!

omg MariaChristina it was the same for me! the financial aid office had it in within 2 days of when i mailed it! it was crazy! and don't stress too much about your scores not appearing yet, mine took a really long time to show up, and they all didn't show up at the same time either.

I KNOW! it was insanity
one of my teachers mailed her rec on the 30th and it only got to the office on the 14th of nov. so don't freak out like i did

The application tracking page can be very deceiving...I applied ED and sent my scores on November 2nd and still it says No Tests On File. However I have called the office a few times and confirmed that they do indeed have my scores, so you could likely be in the same situation.
