Why in cursive?

In every single SAT or SAT II, the collegeboard makes you write that certification on the back of the answer sheet in cursive. I never understood why. It always takes people I test with forever because they haven't used cursive in years :). What's wrong with writing it in print? And why have us re-copy it in the first place?

a gril sitting next to me didnt write it in cursive. i hope it doesn’t affet her scores

haha the kid that was 2 seats in front of me took [literally] 10 minutes. Funny stuff. Everyone was staring at him the whole time and when he looked up after he was done, he had a “***” face

I seriously doubt that collegeboard even looks at what you wrote. I suspect that the intention of having it written is so that if they catch someone cheating or violating protocols, they can pull out a written and signed contract and say that the person had signed an agreement, even wrote it out (and thus was obviously cognisent of the rules), and their breach of the contract justifies disciplinary action.

but again, wteff in cursive?

My theory, absolutely unproven… If you write in block, it’s less unique. Cursive handwriting is easily proven to have been written by you.

I was wondering this too. The person behind me said they were writing in cursive-English, lol.

I forgot how to do several letters bahaha like the capital letter I. I didn’t finish in time and had filled up all the lines before I was halfway done with the statement… I ended up squeezing it in after the test was over.

Yeah, I havent written in cursive since like the 5th grade.
