why is SAT world history only offered twice a year?

I originally wasn’t planning on going to college but a sudden change of heart now has me racing to finish my application before my deadline. I want to take my chosen three ( US history, literature and world history) subject tests in October but world history is only offered in June and December, which is way past my deadline. Is it possible to take world history in October if I were to ask collegeboard? I’ve been approved for special testing so I won’t be testing with everyone else anyway.

Because so few students take the test. 14K vs 58K for USH… But it’s actually 3 times; they offer it in August.

Which makes sense, since ideally Subject Tests would be ideally taken at the end of the year/semester.

No

Doesn’t matter. The answer will stil be no.

This was s surprise to my kid, too. Some of your schools still might take a score from the Dec test unless it is an EA or ED app. Check their websites and ask them if it isn’t clear. Don’t bother asking College Board to take it in Oct, that isn’t happening.
