I'm only a sophomore in high school, but St. John's has always appealed to me. When I bought a new Barron's guide, I was really dissapointed, though. It claims that 20% leave St. John's after the first year, and only something like 17% remian to graduate. Why is this percentage so small?

Probably because St. John's is so different from your average program such as it requires a lot of work and has mandatory books/classes that some people find while doing the program that they'd rather have a more normal college experience.

Check your stats. The Princeton Review shows 74% of Freshmen graduating within six years.

it's probably because some people realize they have interests they'd like to pursue that st john's just cant help them with. or maybe they long for large lecture classes or a big city or socal weather.
