Why part -time is always an option

I am a junior studying Social Work at a large University. I attended 2 colleges prior to this one and I must say I have loved them all. However, I have a learning disability and mental illness and found taking a full load too hard. I was about ready to give up and try to get a medical withdrawal (not easy) or withdraw and owe tons of money. So I had to really consider my options and I was able to drop a class and not affect my financial aid. Yes, I will get a "W" for the class but it surely is better than all "W"s. Now that I am taking 3 classes I have noticed I am able to focus on my 3 classes better and my overall outlook on life is better, since I have less stress. The ONLY downfall is I will graduate in 3 years instead of 2. But the point of this post is, if there is anyone struggling to handle a full load, consider being part time. Do what you have to do to survive. You will get the same piece of paper in 3 years that you would have gotten in 2. Do what is smart, cost effective, and best for your health. Hope this post helped someone.
