My daughter spoke to a faculty member at UCSC and an academic advisor in the AGPM program at banana slug day and was convinced this course/campus was the right one for her. There are more courses due to be released this fall (pending approval). She loved the campus, was inspired by the staff and is already aware of the well known reputation this school has in this particular subject. There are multiple opportunities for further education in this subject as well at UCSC.
We did consider the housing and found that freshman are guaranteed on-campus housing, about 50% of Sophomores live on campus too. We will start the hunt for off campus early and keep on top of it so that she doesn’t have to worry about that side of it.
She loved Chico and it’s degree also. But once she visited UCSC, she felt she just couldn’t turn the opportunity to study there, down.
