Why Princeton

I'm considering whether or not to apply to Princeton. I was an early admit to Yale, and it seems to be a good fit. The only problem is that I don't really know a whole lot about either school, and I really don't want to make my decision based on a viewbook or two. According to various sources (like princeton review) students love princeton. What about it makes it so special to everyone? Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me out :-)

For one thing, Princeton is not in New Haven.
Anyways, Yale is not as pretentious as Princeton (barely), so if you don't want to be among people who use "sport" in every sentence and have 4 names for the next 4 years, stay away from NJ.
Seriously now, it's great that you even have this decision to make. Do you know how many people would kill just to be in your position? Both are amazing schools. If you really can't decide, flip a coin - either way, you won't regret it.

The pretension and good old boy atmosphere does exist, but it is very limited, and unless you're the type who wants to be a part of it, you'll barely even notice it. Princeton and New Haven are very different, so decide which atmosphere appeals more to you. Also consider the social scenes at the two schools (whether you'd like the eating clubs). The academics are superb at both schools.
