I applied to Juniata College and was accepted. Now I'm wondering if I should seriously consider it or not. Does anyone have opinions?

I'm wondering about the location--is it in the middle of or near the edge of Huntingdon? How popular or noticeable are groups like AWOL, United Spiritual Council, and Japanese Club?

Are there any other things--positive or negative--that you think I should know? Thank you very much.

Josiahm, Juniata is on the edge of Huntingdon. It's definately walking distance to town. My kids (daughter college soph, and son HS junior) friend is a freshman there and I got the impression that he and college friends walk into town pretty often. It is pretty out-of-the-way though so if you're looking for much night life, this is not the place. The friend actually has a Japanese roommate and it sounds like Juniata is really trying to recruit more internationals.

I just looked on their website and see that they have a Japanese club and a United Spiritual council. Here's the link: http://services.juniata.edu/osa/clubs.html One other thing that I thought was nice, they hook up each international student with a local family so when there is a short break, they can stay with the family. I think internationals also come a little earlier (maybe just a day) to get acclimated. I loved Juniata and my kids who have very different interests did too.
