I am a Chinese girl and Smith is my dream school.
Now I am preparing my Why Smith essay, I find it toooooooo short. I have so many things to write. But the limitation is 100.
What can I do?

My D is just finished her 2nd year at Smith and my advice to her when she was writing this was to adhere to the limitation. It forces you to be concise and creative.

What NJ said. You'll have plenty of opportunities to write a great length...this isn't one of them. You need to distill and focus on the most important, not give a laundry list. Two reasons max, with maybe another two mentioned in passing. Anything more than 3-4 and your response starts to resemble a Monty Python skit. "Among the seven most important reasons...."

Just keep it short and be sincere. There were so much that I could write as well, but I picked my one biggest reason and elaborated a bit on it. It worked:)

Following directions counts.

Indeed. Bingo.

thank you very much
