<p>I had problems with the FAFSA retrieval tool too and I figured out that it was because I tried to use my D’s FAFSA pin. </p>

<p>When I got my own FAFSA pin linked to my own SSN and used it instead everything worked fine and the retrieval tool did its job.</p>

<p>Finally linked tonight tax info to my FAFSA with IRS retrieval tool after mailing my tax payment Apr 9th for my return e-filed Mar 7th.</p>
