Why Vote Republican??? Please clue me in

Another good reason to vote Republican was because of Bush's support of Taiwanese security. Too bad he just vetoed the recent sale of 60 F-16s. That's one less reason.

It's not the OP who made attacks. I fully respect him/her. It's immature comments like Chrislo23's comments that anger me. If I felt offended in any way, would I have answered the OP's question in a way that did not attack liberals? My answer came from the heart.

I'm just tired of seeing the same threads about why conservatives think the way they do (an honest question) and it turns into a bashfest for liberals.

Whoops. in my long post I shoul've mentioned that I'm glad Bono is taking a part in helping other people's lives instead of blabbing how bad Bush is like Barbra Streisand and Kanye West.

Actually, you know what, I'm gonna cite all my sources because I did not make any of this up. Speaking of welfare, although I agree that some people abuse social security welfare, I know plenty of people who wouldn't survive if it was not for these programs.

For instance, my mother gets money from the government. She gets this money after my father passed away. My mother makes less than $35,000 a year, and she's trying to support five children. If she had not gotten this federal aid, I think that we'd probably would have lost our house because my dad made all the money. IT'S EXACTLY BECAUSE OF THIS FEDERAL MONEY THAT I'M ABLE TO GO TO COLLEGE AND MAKE SOMETHING OF MY LIFE. This May, my sister graduated from medical school.

How can you criticize programs that do such good?

Smurfette2692, can you write down things that you like about the republicans?

Since, after all, the topic is: "why you would vote republican", not "let's comment on these specific issues and why you don't think they're as bad as I do."

well vtoodler made a list of the issues and I commented on them.

And vtoodler, I don't think you made it up. You're the first person who did not attack me and I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions. I just like to see the sources because I find them interesting. :) I'm not criticizing the programs that do good, I just think it should be revamped, so those people who actually deserve the money (i.e. your family) gets it and the people who rip off the system, don't.

Yes, this is quite logical.

please read post 25 since I don't want to retype this.

awww...I spent so much time trying to put those issues from a conservatives point of view and now I have to type more! I gotta get down to work and watch the UM-MSU game! ;)

"It's immature comments like Chrislo23's comments that anger me."

smurfette2692, why are abandoning me?

WE republicans need to stick together in our quest for world domination. If we don't unite, then we can't stomp on those oppose us. We must make America the great dictatorship that it should be in which rich people and corporations rule.

I will post my sources very soon. I have to go somewhere, but I'll be back soon.

okay, well I gotta get back to the homework. That's college life for ya! :)

smurfette, thanks for your honest answers. Nice to see some respectful discussion.

I think that if people with opposing views can attempt to understand each other, and coexist, then there might be some hope for the rest of the world.

lol the self parody thing. For some reason when I edit my posts and save them, they don't show up, but now reading the thread again, I have two posts of the same thing. ugh. :(

If you have any questions for me (that are not insulting) I will answer them. Give me some time though, I'm a busy girl. ;)
