You know, after I was deferred, I was disappt and wanted to NOt go to MIT (it was just a phase I went throught for a day).
Then today I realized why I loved MIT. Some of the coolest things happen and are happening at this place. However difficult the school is, it challenges one to THINK in new ways...and we end up with things like this:

Heart Tissue Is Grown From Rat Cells (Todays News)

CAMBRIDGE (AP) - Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have used rat cells to grow dime-sized swatches of heart tissue that twitch like a beating heart when an electrical current passes through.

Also, there are no honors, summa cum, etc. An MIT degree stands on its own no matter what your grades are/were.

Yeah, MIT, technically speaking, doesn't give out honors. But MIT students still can win induction to Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi, and these are basically "de-facto" honors. True, they're not officially supported by MIT, but I don't know that that official support makes much difference. Students can still stratify themselves through these honors organizations.

yes! We should all have a medieval jousting tournament in the infinite!!!
It will be like A Knight's Tale, except for better, cause it's MIT!!!!!!
