<p>I need to choose either UNC or Duke for my PhD and I am looking for any input people might have to offer. I have declined all others schools so it will certainly be one of the two. I don't need to know anything about reputation or academic rigor as those issues are lab-specific and irrelevant for this type of work. What I am curious about are issues of culture, environment, undergraduate involvement in research, how you view TA's, vibrancy of the campus, special perks etc. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.</p>
