not televised here. but looking at the info online, there seemed to be some poor decision:

instead of kicking the field goal and being down by 3, our team got greedy and tried for a TD even it's 4th and long (previous 3 attempts got little/no gain)! there were still 3 mins left! the team underestimated the opponent and it showed!

with less than 2 min left, why did they waste a timeout just before duke punted the ball?

The secondary looked bad in the first half and Fitz had a bad gameplan to stop Thaddeus.

Fitz did a great job at halftime at changing the defensive scheme to at least contain Duke.

Bacher is a good qb who excels in pressure situations.

I agree with Sam Lee 100%. I have no idea what the justification for going for it on 4th and 10 is.
Best case scenario if we go for it: we hit the 20% chance that 4th and 10 converts, give Duke the ball w 3 minutes and some TOs left to march down the field b/c Lewis is then free to throw down the field, needing only a FG to win it.
Worse case scenario if we go for it: We stop Duke, and have a minute thirty to score a TD

Scenario if we take the points: we stop Duke (it's a given that Duke can't get a 1st down on the ground...its running game is atrocious) and need a FG to go into OT.

I think the game should've been tied w 10 minutes left bc Fitz passed on 2 FG opps and opted to go for it on 4th down.
The playcalling and halftime adjustments are lightyears farther than they were last year, but I think Fitz is a young coach who is going to make mistakes...I just hoped that his coordinators would've stepped in and said something.

In addition to the questionable coaching decisions and the pathetic NU defense, a sidelined Tyrell Sutton and a less than objective ACC officiating crew didnt help matters either.
