I know, I do not need to have an undergrad degree in zoology, but I would like to. But I want to know which job is more interactive with live animals. I heard that Wildlife biologists deal with more dead creatures and mostly forest animals. I would like to go more exotic than that more so like a zookeeper, but at a research institution with animal enclosures like that. So i think zoology is the path for me, but I just want confirmation. I am currently a freshman at Mt San Antonio Community College. I plan to transfer to Humboldt State University and the transfer requirements only vary by the math (need calculus for zoology). So is zoology right for my "dream career". Do I have to specialize in something to get a job like that? If so can it just be something like "Mammals"? Last question; Could I somehow double major in marine biology? I know that the core requirements are the same (for the most part), but is there anywhere that allows it for even a BS or MS? I plan to get a PhD in Zoology, but would like to have a little marine with me. Thanks for all the help.

I suggest doing general Bio with zoo and marine electives for undergrad. It gives you more job opportunities than Zoology if Phd doesn’t work out.
