Will a college take a mailed recommendation letter?

Hey there,

I’m submitting all my college apps and have a recommender who is older and has been having trouble with the common app recommendation form (not a teacher recommendation, just a supplemental). To be safe, she mailed the recommendation letter to the college (its Princeton if that helps at all), but still hasn’t submitted anything on common app. How do colleges deal with the mail they receive? Will the letter be added to my file?

Thanks for the help and good luck to everyone still submitting!

Of course they’ll take a mailed document. You’re 100% fine.

Think of what you’re suggesting otherwise — letters just go into a shredder, unopened?
