Hi guys.

I'm a second semester freshman who is majoring in finance at a small public university in my hometown.

After I finish my sophomore year, I will attempt to transfer to either Grinnell College in Iowa or the University of Missouri in Columbia.

If I am accepted to Grinnell, I will change my major to economics, but if I am accepted to Mizzou, I will continue pursuing a degree in finance.

I understand that because Grinnell doesn't offer a major in business, my business courses will not transfer. Will my taking business courses affect my chances of admission?

The college I attend doesn't have very many business majors, so most classes are only offered once during a semester (i.e. MWF from 10:00-10:50). Because of that, in fall I am taking: managerial accounting, microeconomics, business law, fundamentals of management, and business statistics. My spring 2015 semester should have a better variety of classes.

I currently have a 4.0 GPA, am involved in a few organizations, and work as an English tutor.

My main reason for transferring is the college I attend doesn't offer Arabic.

Please let me know what you think!
