Ha, I rhymed!! Anyway, I was wondering about your thoughts on twinship and the admission process for Chicago. I applied to Uof C EA and was admitted, and my identical twin sister is applying RD. We have similar stats, though hers are a little bit lower than mine, esp. GPA wise. Will having a fantastic, amazing older twin sister who got in help or hinder? Your thoughts, please.

...Or not have an effect at all. Admittedly, she could kind of hint throughout the app how her twin got in EA and she could never ever be separated or else it would rip her family apart... or something to that extent. That's what a clever, conniving person would do. And it would work as long as you did it subtly. If you don't do that though, chances are it's not going to help or hurt your twin in any way... and I wouldn't exactly use the plot that I described above, mainly because I'd like to be admitted on my own merit.

how come your twin sister didn't apply early action? I know a pair of twin sisters who graduated from my high school a couple of years ago and both got accepted to the University of Chicago thought I don't know whether they both applied early action or regular or one early one regular. they obviously both had similar grades, scores, awards, clubs, etc, Coincidentally, I was just thinking about how being twins would affect the admissions process specifically at the University of Chicago right before I came on College Confidential today, and I saw your post.
did you mention you were a twin on your application?
