Will colleges be able to tell scores on the old ACT from scores on the upcoming changed ACT?

<p>When reporting scores on college applications, will there be any way to tell the old ACT from the new? Is the testing date usually required? I mainly ask because of the significant changes to the Writing section, and colleges will surely prefer the newer version. </p>
