So I am taking the AP Calculus AB test on Wednesday as a sophomore. I have taken several practice tests and gotten 4s and 5s, so that is likely what I will get on the exam. What happens if I get a 4, but the college I want to go to requires a 5 for credit transfer, but I have taken higher level math courses and gotten good grades. The reason I ask is because next year i am taking Calc II and Multivariable and senior year I will have even more. Will they really not give me credit for Calc I just because that AP exam score isn't high enough.

Yes, really.

They might, however, have their own placement exam, post-acceptance, that would allow you to skip Calc I.
