In 9th grade my "friend" and i were joking around and i said i was going to kill her later because she said she was going to tell the guy i liked that i liked him but then a couple hours later we got into an argument and she went and told the assistant principal that i legit threatened to kill her. I'm a senior now and i haven't been in any trouble since and I've kept my grades up but I'm about to start applying to college and I'm scared that I'll get rejected from my dream school because of this.

useless reply but this made me lol

Will getting suspended hurt my chances of getting into my dream school?

Probably not hurt you as much as your essay will, if anything close in resemblance to this sentence structure is used:)

You will probably need to explain this mishap and the lesson that was learned. Different schools will react differently but having this happen as a Freshman is better than having it happen as a Junior.

Will it hurt you? Certainly. But how much it will depends on the school. Most schools ask you if you have ever been suspended before and usually give you a chance to explain the situation. If you explain it well, you shouldn’t many problems with it but make sure you explain it very clearly and make sure the admissions officer understands the situation.

Thanks guys! This calmed me down a little!
