Will high GPA and AP scores make up for low SAT at selective schools?

My superscored SAT is a 1980. After taking the Dec SAT I'm pretty sure I increased a quite a bit to hopefully 2100, but of course I can't be sure until I get the scores. However, I have a gpa of 3.95 unweighted and have made 5's on each AP test that I've taken which has been World History, US History and English Language (the only APs my school offered until senior year). Will these make up for the low SAT scores at places like Berkeley, Duke, UChicago or the low ivies? I believe my ECs and essays are very strong as well, the SAT is pretty much my biggest downfall.

With 1980 SAT’s the schools you mention are probably a reach (maybe not impossible, but it would be tough). With 2100 you’re solidly in the back for most of them.

In short, NO! Use the search function, this question is asked over and over and over.

Simply, top schools get kids with it all and have way to many to take all of the 4.0/2300 great EC kids. One thing dies not make up for any other.

That said, if you have spectacular ECs, and I mean off the charts rarely seen ECs, great grades and outstanding recs, no school is impossible.

Generally having an SAT score under 2000 really raises a red flag so I would be careful. Then again, it also depends on extracurriculars, essays, and such.
