Will I be able to get into CSULB

Hi all!

Well, I've been exploring some old CSULB transfer threads and I saw one member mentioned that they had a 3.93 GPA and were rejected because they did not complete one of four courses. I'm missing the communications/speech requirement and I didn't really intend on completing it at my community college (I was hoping I could take it at CSULB). My GPA is currently a 4.0, but if a user was rejected despite having a pretty stellar GPA as well, does that mean I'm doomed? I also applied as a computer science major, so I'm not sure if that makes my chances any worse.

Thanks for any help and I'll provide more info if needed.

They do want all the requirements complete so, there’s a good chance they will not take you. Some CSUs are less picky - hopefully you applied more broadly.

My friend was immediately rejected from CSUN because he was missing Speech (he ended up being accepted to UCLA, USC and UCBerkeley). They also ask you straight up in the Supplemental when you took it, and what grade you received, so unfortunately, I’m going to guess that your application will probably be rejected. :(

You were so right…they rejected me so fast.
