Will I be rescinded?

I was accepted RD, but my grades might not be the greatest due to slacking on work.

English - B
Government - B
Choir - A
Theatre - B

And what are the general guidelines to avoid being rescinded? I’m very scared that I’ll lose my place in the class of 2021.

The best people to answer would be the admissions office. Give them a call if you’re worried.

With that said, it’s highly unlikely. Generally failing a class or getting Cs would be the threshold to start worrying. Each school is different and they’re often very vague about the level that merits being rescinded.

Congratulations. Conventional wisdom is don’t gets D’s, don’t get arrested, and don’t be found to have misrepresented yourself in your application.

As long as you maintain those grades or better, didn’t lie on your application, and remain upstanding in character. 0%

I think the real question is why your grades dropped. Have you only been working to “get in”? Are you burned out? Etc.

@compmom I have a mean case of senioritis. Also, I’m focusing a lot on choir and a musical that I’m in, so i’ve been neglecting my classes.

I didn’t expect to get into Harvard (who does?) But now that I’m in, I am very scared of getting kicked off the admitted list.

Any advice?

No, you will not. B’s are fine. Carry on with your second-semester relaxation–you’ve earned it.

You are fine

Yes you should be fine. But if you are burned out, take it easy this summer!!

Oh God, I wish those had been my high school grades!
