Will I get in?

Ok so I'm going to list some stats and personal information and if you guys could give me an outside perspective on if this seems realistic I would really appreciate it!

I live in Connecticut
SATs: Writing: 730; Math: 700; Critical Reading: 660
SAT IIs: Math 2: 720; Literature; 680
GPA: Fresh and sophomore year went to public school, ~ 3.3 unweighted
Junior Year at private school ~3.8
Senior Year at private school ~ 4.3 (weighted)
Caucasian
Activities: Varsity Volleyball and softball all four years
Church youth group for two years
Electronic Arts internship in San Francisco, worked on a Sims game and the game "Rock Band"
Travel softball since I was 9, got fifth in the nation one year and fifteenth another

Dad: Ivy undergrad, top-ranked U for grad
Mom: some college, didn't finish though

I have somewhat of an excuse for earlier not so hot grades...
When I was younger, I skipped a grade because was ahead of class. I actually did half a junior year at my public school, but halfway through I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and had to have open brain surgery and was taken out of school for the rest of the year. Thankfully, I was a year younger than everyone, so transferring to a different school and redoing my junior year did not present any age related problems. Essay talks about this.

I wrote in some of my essays that the reason I don't have tons of extracurriculars is because I had constant health issues pre and post-diagnosis, and also sports dominated the majority of my time.

I can't think of any other information that might help you guys assess me, but please feel free to ask.

Yeah I think you'll get in : )
But one more question...what school at Villanova did you apply to? Arts and sciences?

Yep! arts and sciences. Thanks for your opinion, judging by your name I'm guessing you're a student or going to be a student? Any specific things about the school you love/don't like? I haven't visited, just going from word of mouth from my friends that they ADORE it there. I'll definitely visit if I get in.

I'm worried about villanova because my friend who is really smart and has been so passionate about villanova got deferred early. I don't know her grades or SAT scores so I can't really judge but you can tell by being in classes with her she's a very smart girl.

Yep, I'm a freshman this year and I love it here. It's amazing. I would probably try and visit before you find out if you get in or email an admissions counselor so you show some interest otherwise they might think you're not as serious about it. Villanova likes that. Just send me a message if you have anymore questions : )

Thanks villanovagirl, you were right on! I did get in :) thanks for your post!

I will be visiting for the first time on visiting days most likely, april 11/12th. That really smart friend of mine got waitlisted. I will most likely not be attending (depends on other schools i get into, possibly notre dame, bowdoin, others on my stats profile) but I wish I could give her my spot. She's been dreaming about Villanova since birth practically. She didn't ask if I got in and I won't tell her unless she does, it's just so sad to see someone's dreams crushed :(
