I am an international student. My SAT scores are 2150 for SAT 1 and 2400(PCM) for SAT 2. My gpa is 3.8. I have won different quiz competitions, worked in school magazine and volunteered in rural school. What are my chances of getting into Colby?

You seem like a very competitive applicant for Colby! Have you had the opportunity to visit the campus and have an interview? That may not be possible with you living abroad, but if you can having an interview is a great thing to add to your resume.

In terms of SAT’s Colby’s 25th-75th percentile scores are:
Verbal: 640 and 720
Math: 640 and 710
Writing: 630 and 710

You are very much in line with the qualifications of accepted students.

Thank you very much. As I’m international i don’t think visiting is viable, I will definitely interview though. Can you give me stats of admitted international students?

How could anyone “give” you the stats? Try searching around and see what you come up with. In my experience, there aren’t many. Especially for the class of '16. For '13 and '15, I saw a few posts. (not necessarily for Colby but just stats for international applicants in general)

Please, don’t use acronyms like “PCM”. Not everyone is familiar with such terms. The only reason I can safely guess that you meant “physics, chemistry and mathematics” is because of your username (“Abhi” sounds Indian) and I’ve actually seen lots of Indian posters, and even website of Indian colleges use that particular acronym.

I got what you meant but not every member here will. Do take that into account when you post. Likewise, something like “I’ve just cleared my 12th boards” probably won’t make much sense to anyone who’s not, at the very least, vaguely familiar with the Indian education system.

hey I’m not Indian, I’m from Nepal. Sorry about using ‘PCM’…yeah it’s physics, chemistry and maths 2c.
Where are you from? and which college are you applying for ED.

i am an international student and my SATs are:
critical reading: 600
maths: 690
writing: 650
Math level 2: 750
physics: 630

i know they’re really low but do i have any chance for colby :’(

@abhikiko… congrats… I am a Nepalese too… I too applied ED I to colby… and I too have a SAT similar to that of yours (mine is 2190… 700/790/700)… And I too have almost same profile as yours in terms of volunteering and ECs… I also have all As in my transcripts… And I took only two SAT subject tests… Mathematics and Physics… 800 in both of em…

But all in all, I have one absolute weakness in my application, which I prefer not to reveal… As far as decisions are concerned… we shall know that on Thursday… late night… or Friday Early morning…

Good luck…

@Jacobswannabe…you look like you will easily get in best of luck buddy
@mileyanne…your CR score is a bit on the low side but as far as I know colleges do not reject merely on SAT score and SAT score doesn’t determine your overall application package…best of luck

@Jacobswannabe…did you get in?
