<p>I'm in my junior year. Will I get in? What can I do to improve my chances?</p>

<p>GPA: High 4.2's
SAT: Scored 1440 (without writing) in 7th grade, odds are good for close to 2400
ACT: Scored 34 in 8th grade, odds are good for 36
PSAT: Scored 231 sophomore year, definitely did better this year (likely National Merit finalist)
APs: Bio, Calc BC, US, Euro, Lang (so far)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
3 Years on varsity cross country, likely captain next year (lettered twice)
2 Years on varsity track (lettered once)
Key Club secretary (sophomore), vice president (junior), likely president next year
Award-winning weekly school newspaper: Business Manager (sophomore), Page 1 designer (junior), likely Editor-in-Chief next year
2-time qualifier for DECA Internationals (should be 3 by end of this year)
4-time qualifier for Michigan Math Prize Competition Part II
Copy editor for school literary magazine (starting this year)

<p>I suppose you are in the running but it is still a crapshoot. If anything, your odds are on the low side since there isn’t anything truly outstanding. But most people’s odds are on the low side.</p>

<p>If you get a 36 on the ACT, and a 2400 on the SAT, you will definitely have a good shot. Also take the SAT IIs. Take some more APs as well.</p>
