Will I get Into Places Like MIT, Stanford with finiancial aid?

hey..
im an international student (india) and i want to come for my undergrad to the u.s...just wanted an opinion of how good my co curriculars are and what the probability of me getting into good colleges like MIT, Stanford, CalTech ..etc are ...

2200 in SAT-1 (Q. 1 : should i retake the sat-1 to TRY TO get above 2300....i just need someones opinion coz i'm very confused!)

800-Physics
790-Chemistry

played tennis for 8 years and had a state ranking (Under-12 # 10) and (Under-14 # 31) ....india (U-14 # 144 )i still play ..but not from a competitive aspect...

ive taken part in various competitions (and won a few) like modem (it's a computer competition), science fairs, and this spaceship building Competition which was stupid....oh and i'm a prefect (which is like a school captain....ten students out of 160 are selected)..and im hoping to become the head boy this year as well.....
i am planning to do somewhere between 300-400 hours of social work within the next two years (30 hours in the required amount for an A grade by school )..
I have also collected about 15-20 certificates from 9th-12th

im not bragging ...i just really need to know...
thanks in advance
P.S: does mit actually not include the writing section of SAT-1 while considering its applicants..???

oh and does Stanford offer fin-aid to international students???

i actually got a pamphlet from stanford

Stanford overlooks if you apply to financial aid or not if you are from America and a citizen

If you are a international student, they will check if you applied for financial aid and can deny you if they want

But you have good qualifications, so might not get denied

I don’t believe any of the schools you are listing are need blind for international students. MIT and Stanford offer need based aid only for accepted students.

The reality is that as an international student, your need will be taken into consideration at most schools. There are a few which need blind for internationals (someone else will have to post those schools)…but most are not.

In any event…Stanford and MIT will be looking at your financial need for awarding any aid…your stats are looked at for admission only.

If you need financial aid to go to college and are an international student, you need to check the policies of each school as to how they treat international students. There are schools that are need blind for international students but offer limited financial aid or no financial aid for this category. There are schools that consider international students for admissions and financial aid on the same basis as any student. There are schools that are not need blind for international students but do provide financial aid if the student is accepted. There are schools that have generous merit aid that is available to all student and some that restrict it for international students.

Given that you have great stats, you have a chance at whatever monies that are in the pool for international students. I know kids who have gotten the best packages from schools that are NOT need blind for international kids and have limited aid for internationals. So a few of those schools should stay on your list if you are interested in them. Some international kids will cross them off to stick with schools that are totally need blind and offer to meet full need for internationals, but the problem there is that the competition at such schools is very steep. A school that wants your stats may be willing to pay for your need even if it has limits on how much is allocated to internationals. However, be aware if a school has NO aid for international students.
