I was accepted into Rutgers University and I am currently enrolled there right now. My mother passed away in January and she was going to help me pay for college. Unfortunately the bill for Rutgers has exceeded what my father and I can pay. I called UAlbany and they told me that they are still accepting applications for the fall of 2013. I applied there a couple of days ago. Do you think I will get in with:
In-state student
92 H.S. GPA
22 ACT score(took the SAT but didn't do too well)
Class Rank 31/435 (Top 10%)
National Honor Society member
Marching Band (Drumline Captain)
College Club (Vice President)
Sports Medicine Club
Varsity Wrestling all throughout high school
Varsity Lacrosse all throughout high school Captain
Numerous Athletic Academic awards
Volunteer Youth Assistant Coach for my town's youth wrestling team
A great letter of recommendation from my districts Athletic Director
Regents Diploma (No Advanced regents)

Yes, you most likely, if not, definitely will. UAlbany has been to known to accept a lot of students, half of which aren’t as academically smart as others which is why the school isn’t as good as it once used to be. There’s also the reputation it has for being a huge party school and many people try to live up to it. I honestly think you should stay away since there are so many people who transfer out but if it’s your only choice, go ahead.
