I have one question to ask.
I got accepted to UIUC for chemistry major and my senior 1st semester grades were:
writing: A-
AP cal AB: C-
AP chem: B
Computer: A
English: B
Psychology: A
After I got accepted, my grades slacked off and now my grades are:
writing: B+
AP cal AB: C-
AP chem: C+
Computer: A
English: D+
Psychology: B
will i get rescinded?
and is there anybody who got rescinded because of low grades?
My semester 2 gpa is 2.8(weighted)

Thank you guys!

If you guys heard any cases, please post those!
im really concerned!

The best people to answer your question work in admissions at UIUC. Call them and ask.

Any grade less than a C is an issue as is the general slacking second semester, perhaps you’ll still be ok in light of your total record. But if it is an issue, by addressing it now you may have the chance to do something; perhaps take a summer course somewhere, etc. If you wait until they get your transcript this summer then it will be too late for alternatives. Plus, colleges like people that show maturity and face up to problems instead of trying to duck and hope everything blows over.

that D+ in english certainly doesn’t count in your favor, but colleges will be more willing to be generous if you call or email them, telling them of your grades this semester, instead of waiting until they call you after they get your second semester grades. being mature and explaining your self will go over much better.
