Will I Get Rescinded?

Hi CC,

When I filled out my application, I listed that I will be taking the December ACT. I took my first ACT on September, but I didn’t report my September score on the application because I was afraid it was too low for my intended major which is Computer Science. I got my December score this morning, and I wasn’t really surprised at all that it went down. So I was wondering will I get rescinded if I decided not to send my December ACT and send my September ACT or my SAT instead?

The UC requires all ACT scores, if you choose to send the ACT, or all SAT scores if you choose that. You would not choose the December or September sitting; you would send both. Or you may send your SAT score, if you think it better represents your aptitude.

Regardless, get the scores in ASAP. Deadline is 12/31.

Final note: you can’t get “rescinded,” as you have not been accepted yet.
