Will I get scholarship?

I am doing my o'levels and it will be finished within May 2012. I have 7 subjects. I wanted to know if I can get any scholarship after giving my o'levels.

Are you a US citizen living abroad, or are you an international applicant? In either case, you need to start by reading through everything at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/) Then you need to make an appointment with the counselors at the advising center closest in Dhaka [EducationUSA - Center Profile - The American Center](http://www.educationusa.info/Dhaka) If you can’t visit in person, find out how much help they can give you by phone or email. They will be able to tell you where students like you have been admitted in the past few years, and whether or not they received any scholarships.

Scholarships are not based on the completion of O-levels.

Merit scholarships are based on GPAs and SAT/ACT scores.

If you’re an int’l, then there are less scholarship options out there.

If you’re looking at top schools like the ivies/MIT/Stanford…they don’t give any scholarships. Their aid is based on need after looking at your family’s income & assets. And, those schools are super hard to get into…and even harder for internationals.

If you’re looking at lower ranked schools, then some will give merit scholarships, but few give “full rides”. Some will give tuition or half-tuition scholarships, and your family would have to pay the rest…room, board, books, fees, personal expenses, travel…and any remaining tuition.

When will you be taking the SAT or ACT?

How much will your family pay?

O levels? I thought those were the ones you take at 15-16. What about your A levels? Don’t you need A levels for college applications? Or have things changed that much in the British schooling system?
