<p>Before considering the stats, I do want to mention that my grades were affected by a extenuating circumstance regarding family (Received a D in AP Chem) and guidance counselor mentioned the situation in her letter.</p>

<p>Maybe nyu? Im really unsure with your stats but if I were you I’d plan for the worst. There is always a chance because you have a decent sat and ec’s. College admissions are completely unpredictable but there is always a chance. Make sure you have some safety schools! I wish you the best of luck!</p>

If you are white or Asian, your chances are bleak.
If you are black or Hispanic you are a shoo-in.</p>

<p>You might have a shot at NYU. I’d suggest that you try to find schools that you can still apply to, where your GPA is at the top of their range so that you have a safety.</p>
