Hello, everyone! I live in California, far from New Hampshire. If I do go to visit Dartmouth, I will be catching a flight. However, I will be unable to get an official ID from the DMV soon enough. Is there any way I can still take the flight without an ID?

I don’t think you need a driver’s license for domestic flights; I don’t even have my permit and can get in with my school student ID or passport just fine.

You have given me hope, new friend, but I will need 3 weeks to go my passport ready. When you used your school student ID, were you 16 or under?

Does California issue state IDs? Apply for one of those. SS and birth certificate will be all you should need. It should be issued to you directly or within ten days. The only problem is you’ll have to visit a California DMV and their reputation is dubious. Worth a shot to call your local one and get the details.

I’m 17 and used my student ID last week - I think if you’re 17 or under (maybe it’s under 18), the student ID will work.

Under 18 a school picture id is fine.
Over 18, they want to see a picture id and something goverment issued. If you dont have a license or passport, a school id and ss card will work
