Will I still get into a good* college if I only take up to precalculus?

No need to leave-- it wasn’t anyone’s intention to chase you away. I think that if you consider your experience here-- even on this thread alone-- you’ll see that the adults here really do try to offer concrete advice. (This thread is currently on page 10, your other threads have likewise flourished.)

What we’re asking is simply that you consider the advice you’ve been given, that’s all. (Well, maybe also to refrain from implying that we’re rude when a thread starts to die out.) What gets me, and I think others, is your insistence that you know better than the advice you’ve been given. If that were true, then there would be no need to request advice.

That’s all.

There’s so much to learn from this site-- no need to leave.

We don’t feel obligated to respond, that’s the point. We spend some time here trying to help When it looks like we’re not helping, we do something else. So, do come back as there’s a lot to learn here.

I didn’t mean I’d be gone gone. Just that I wouldn’t continue making repetitive, rabbit-hole-esque threads and only useful ones about legitimate questions. And you’re right that you’re not obligated to respond. I just meant that I understand what you were saying, that you’re not required to respond, and I’m sorry for making it into a bigger deal than it has to be. Everyone’s right: I just need to relax and focus on what’s right in front of me and actually do things instead of just talking about stuff over and over again. I love college confidential and I’d be hard-pressed to leave forever. I’m just trying to follow everyone’s advice to stop obsessing.

Yes, do try to listen, and then process. That’s a “life skill.”

Your comments today do show some awareness, that’s good. In your college apps, it’ll be important to show perspective, which reflects both experiences and balanced thinking. Balance also counters a lot of stress and anxiety.

To be entirely honest, some of your demands seem quite unreasonable. It is not necessary for others to respond to everyone of your posts. Also, you don’t seem to have taken into account much of the wise advice others have repeated here. The single best thing to do in your situation is tot relax; if you go through high school with the unnecessary pressure that you’re putting on yourself, you won’t be able to excel in the classes or extracurricular you’re worried about it in the first place. Don’t worry about your school not allowing you to take advanced classes; as long as you do well in the classes you do take and they are near the higher end of rigor of classes offered, colleges will understand. Every application is different, and not having taken advanced courses will not be the deciding factor in your admission.
