<p>tlswogh89, assuming you meet all other requirements and assuming you have the time, a USMMA visit would be great. A candidate who visits is hosted by a plebe. As a result, a visit provides additional appreciation for the challenges you would face as a midshipman. If accepted, you face fewer surprises at Kings Point and such candidates tend to stick with it. You meet with Admissions briefly at the beginning of your visit. When your visit is concluding, you will have another chance to share your thoughts with Admissions. A day visit is good. An overnight visit gives a bit more time and exposure to a typical Academy day.</p>
