Will MIT match another school's financial aid?

<p>Hi everyone!</p>

<p>Well, my question is in the thread title so has anyone had luck with having MIT match other school's need based financial aid awards? My parents sent an appeal letter and they increased my award by like less than $1000 which really isn't enough. </p>

<p>MIT is giving me about $20,000 but harvard is giving about $32,000. I know that harvard does have a better financial aid program but is it worth it to appeal again on the basis of harvard's award?</p>
