Hi! I was accepted into the January Boston-London CGS program of BU and I am worried about my admission getting rescinded. I think I will end up with a D+ in my honors physics class. I am not a good math or science student, I only took this class because of an irreversible mistake made by my guidance department. The lowest grade I have gotten my senior year besides this was a B+. I don’t plan on using physics after this class, my intended major after CGS is communications. Do you think they will care about my D? Should I email the admissions office? Any advice is appreciated
Hey! I’m an incoming Freshman at BU as well Tbh, this can go either way. Although I personally think that you will be fine. As long as you are doing well in your other subjects and they haven’t really dropped then you should be fine. You’d have to pretty much drop all of your grades for a college to think that you are slacking off. BU does not like rescinding ppl btw. Best of luck and I hope to see you around BU!
One course does not define a student, if is did I would have to think heavily on whether I would want to go to school there…
Update for any student who reads this thread in the future: I ended up with a C in honors physics and it did not affect my acceptance to BU in any way
Good luck at BU CGS is great my daughter is there and was in London this summer… loved it ( and did great in her school work as well!!!)
@Jssaab1 thank you so much! i’m so excited for january and for my incredible journey at BU to begin!
