I got conditionally accepted to SFSU, however this fall semester which is supposed to be my last at my CC it looks like I’m going to get an F in Calculus 1. This will bring my cumulative GPA down to a 3.1 after accounting for my other grades this semester. This is still above the 2.0 minimum GPA requirement, and I do have all the admission requirements completed like the 60 transferrable units, oral and written communication, critical thinking, and college level math. I inquired to the admissions and this is what they told me: As long as you will have all of the
admission requirements complete by the end of the Fall 2016 term, then
you are still admissible to the university. The admission requirements
are as follows;
- 60 semester or 90 quarter transferable units
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Golden 4 Courses completed with C- or higher
Oral Communication
Written Communication
Critical Thinking
Quantitative Reasoning (College Level Math)
Will the F be a deal breaker? Its not like SFSU is some super prestigious school…
