Will my age be significant?

I'm going to be graduating undergrad 3 years later due to health reasons, so I'll be 25. I'm planning to work for at least a year or two afterward, so my question is if going to law school at 26 or 27 years old is too late for a girl? I know it will take 3 years to get the degree, but I'm not sure how long it takes to get established as a lawyer. If I'm 28 or 29 when I start to work, will having kids two years later kill my career? Do you think it's worth it?

Thanks a lot. Any perspective would be great I know this is an off-beat question.

Your age, by itself, is not a factor. And I’m not sure if anyone will be able to give you a full answer regarding having a family and a career; that’s one of those matters where your expectations will play a big role as to how things work out. I know it’s an over-used word, but I think everyone is seeking “balance”; it will be up to you as to what type of balance you’re seeking.

I guess where I’m coming from is this idea that as a 29 year old woman I might not be hired as easily, since I will be so close to the age that women start having children (30-35).
Thanks, though.
